2014/11/01(土)各メカニカルレイヤーの使い方

PCBエディタで基板設計を終えた後に「ファイル」→「製造用データ出力」→「Final」でデータ提出用のPDFを出力したら、どうもすべてのページにMechanical 1が追加される。なんでだろうと思ったし自分はMech-1は部品外形レイヤーとして使っていたので、これじゃあまともなPDFにならない。色々調べているとどうやらAltium Designerのメカニカルレイヤは、自由に使えて自由に名前変更できる割にはおおよその用途が決まっているらしい。今まで作ったライブラリをすべて変更する必要が出てきてしまったじゃないか。
仕方ないがすべてのデータを修正するしかない。ともかく各レイヤーの標準的な意味は以下の通り。
Mechanical 1 - Board Outline (along with the Keep-Out Layer, but that can be used for other things also)
Mechanical 2 - PCB Info (manfacturing info, added as text)
Mechanical 11 - Top Layer Dimensions
Mechanical 12 - Bottom Layer Dimensions
Mechanical 13 - Top Layer Component Body Information (3D models and mechanical outlines)
Mechanical 14 - Bottom Layer Component Body Information (3D models and mechanical outlines)
Mechanical 15 - Top Layer Courtyard and Assembly Information
Mechanical 16 - Bottom Layer Courtyard and Assembly Information

フットプリントのメカニカルレイヤ両面割り当て(レイヤペア)
では、さらっとMech-15とMech-16が上記の標準的なレイヤーの使い方になっているので、これが正しい使い方なんだろう。
